About the game
ToyTank is a video game project on which I worked during the junior year at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe Bilbao in a team formed by only 7 programmers. It took us around 8 months to develop the game while we were taking other courses.
One of the main difficulties during this development was the lack of artists, with left us without models. It was me, with my knowledge of 3DS Max, that I created most of the objects that we can see throughout the whole game.

My contribution
ToyTank has been the first 3D game project I worked on. During 8 months, we develop our own 3D engine and the game we designed.
These are some of the tasks I accomplished throughout the development:
- Involved in gameplay department by programming new mechanics such as the shooting and the mine of the tank
- Designed and conceptualized some levels
- Integrated acoustic feedback with the Audio Engine I assembled using FMOD toolkit
- Sketched and elaborated all the models with 3DS Max. As a team composed only by programmers, I volunteered myself to create most of the assets needed using my 3DS Max skills.
- Keep in touch with the musician to bring up some soundtracks for the different levels
- Prototyped simple features in Unity while we were building the game engine
- Shaped a simple HUD. As the controls were easy and there was not much explanation during the game, it was a perfect fit for the game, just by showing life, and collected collectibles and keys.
